State Dilemma is preferred to Trevian and Atlantic Story. Derek Shaw's horses are running well at the moment and the recent six furlong winner could be worth a chance over this trip as he had shown form for Barry Hills' over this trip a couple of seasons ago. Tried off marks of 91 two seasons ago, today's task is off just 55. Trevian has a positive jockey booking and appears to be fairly well drawn. Although his all-weather record is fairly modest in relation to his turf outings, the form of his recent Kempton run does not read badly at all as the time was notably quick. Godolphin cast-off, Atlantic Story is very much one to watch in the market. Now with Mick Easterby, it will be interesting to see if the North Yorkshire, rather than the Dubai winter is more to his liking. Hadath has a bit to do to be competitive although it is of obvious interest that connections have gone for professional rather than apprentice handling. The blinkers are left off Wiltshire again and his chances are far from forlorn on the evidence of a recent run at Wolverhampton. Kathleen Kennet showed her first ever glimpse of ability when second to Band on the soft at Nottingham. This will be her first ever visit to Kempton. Lobengula looks to need every yard of this trip but is running consistently at the moment. A good race given the low prize money and State Dilemma is given the vote.
