The three that stand out on official ratings in this claimer are Chin Wag, Jack Oliver and Ficoma, and it should pay to concentrate on them, with Ficoma getting the vote. Clive Cox's runners are in decent form at present and this filly drops back to 7f from a mile here, which should suit. Untried on the surface, she has to prove she can handle these conditions but she is strongly favoured by the weights and can win for the first time since her racecourse debut. Chin Wag is a shadow of the horse that ran in Group 2 company last year, and was not good enough to win a claimer at Pontefract last time. This drop back in trip is not certain to be a plus either, but if he runs to his current ability then he can still make the frame. The same applies to Jack Oliver, though he is more at home over this trip and has not run too badly here before, so perhaps he will emerge as the big danger. Hayley's Flower may prove to be best of an uninspiring remainder, but Ficoma is the selection.
