The manner of Altos Reales' victory over course and distance last time suggested that she can defy a penalty and follow up here, while Formidable Guest is an obvious danger, while Magic Amigo and Karmest would not be shock winners. The Derek Shaw-trained selection improved for the step back up in trip last time and although it was not a hot race they pinpointed a quick return after that success and it looks as though they can strike again while the iron is hot. Formidable Guest found nothing like as much as the selection last time but is now only 1lb better off for almost three lengths and on a literal interpretation he should not be able to reverse the placings. Magic Amigo does not win too often and was stuffed over hurdles last time, so has a fair bit to prove, while Karmest may well be a better proposition stepped up half a mile in trip, with stamina in the pedigree and a look at the market is advised there. Without that knowledge however, we will take Altos Reales to win the lucky last.
