      Verdict

      Strict Tempo finished well ahead of Shorter Skirt when runner-up at Newbury and should be in the mix again, despite a 3lb rise. The front-running Lapidary will likely ensure a decent pace having won over 6f here on her handicap debut but Turn 'n Twirl has something to prove now having been eased down in the closing stages at Newmarket last month. Angel Mead is having her second outing after wind surgery and goes handicapping for the first time along with TO THE MOON. John Gosden’s filly has been rested since showing signs of inexperience when fourth at Newbury in June but may have matured enough in the interim to go close in this.
