There's a lot to like about the way Adam Kirby has been riding this winter and he can get a winner here on DEN'S GIFT who has our vote ahead of Audemar while L'Hirondelle will be suited by this step up in trip and can go close. Having knocked hard on the door on his last two efforts the pick may find that door finally swinging open here. The handicapper has done him no favors though by putting his mark up a pound for his latest run but he remains one of the better treated in the line-up. Audemar won under Jamie Spencer two starts ago and the former champion returns to the saddle after being absent for the colt's brave effort to place under a penalty last time. He should run well again but has a bit to prove under this revised mark. L'Hirondelle was very game to just get to the win last time but will need a bit more to follow up. Some improvement may be gleaned by his return to the mile trip so he remains interesting. Outside these Brouhaha looks too high in the weights to win but could get into the place but in a race where plenty have weight carrying skills to prove Den's Gift looks marginally the best treated.
