Verdict

The way this one mile claimer is framed means there's not much to choose between Ravi River and SCARTOZZ on the official rating but given the latter doesn't have to prove stamina for the trip he is our marginal pick with Daniel Thomas looking good for minor money. The selection hasn't had many opportunities recently and that's demonstrated by the fact his course and distance win in a claimer came two starts ago butback in April. The form from that victory has some strength to it and he can bounce back to form after a poor effort last time now back at this level. Ravi River hasn't shown much in handicap company on his last three starts but the last time he was in this class he wasn't far beaten and he should show up prominently again. Daniel Thomas has plenty to do according to the ratings but comes here on form after cantering to victory in a poor race while Dichoh would have a shout of the places if producing his best. A pretty decent race for the grade with Scartozz having the marginally best chance.
