MEZMAAR has won a much better race than this from a higher mark on this track and the assessor has given him a chance dropping him 3lb from his two latest runs in slightly better company - he could be good enough in a low-grade handicap. Ubla is consistent enough at this level and has won over a mile here. He had Termsnconditions two lengths behind when scoring over this trip at Lingfield in December, though the latter didn't get the best of runs. Mansfield found Class 4 company too hot at Newcastle after two narrow defeats in slightly lower grade and has to be respected. Smugglers Creek won a Dundalk claimer in October and has shown enough in three starts for Iain Jardine to suggest he'll be paying his way soon.
