In depth

Verdict

AMERICAN GIGOLO did well in bumpers and over hurdles before a narrow defeat at Lingfield last month. He had no problems going one better on that track earlier this month and, though penalised, looks the type to go on to better things on the level. He had Give Him Time behind in that latter event and it's difficult to see a form reversal, even on 7lb worse terms, while Insomniac was even further behind and looks held. Arctic Chief has also been in action in bumpers and over timber though without the same impact and didn't have much chance to shine on his debut under Flat rules here as he was taking on a long odds-on chance.
