Verdict

A tricky finale for punters to call and Carrowdore is given the narrow vote ahead of Zeis and Worcester Lodge. The selection is in good form at present and has gone close on each of his last two starts. He is not easy to win with but he has plenty of ability and as we know he is in good heart he looks the percentage call. Zeis was found wanting in handicap company last time after showing a good level of form in claimers. He may be worth another chance but his best hopes here look to be of claiming a place. Worcester Lodge could therefore rate the main danger as this lightly-raced gelding won well last time when defeating Inchpast at Newmarket. He is open to plenty of improvement and as he remains unexposed he is entitled to plenty of respect. Mount Benger won well last time and although this is more difficult he is worth consideration, but we will stick with Carrowdore who could be ready to take his turn.
