This looks wide open, and may not take a great deal of winning. Synonymy gets our vote, ahead of Whaxaar and Rainbow Dash. The selection has actually been in the winner's enclosure before; not many here can boast that, albeit it was over a slightly shorter distance on the turf at Warwick. Expect her to try and come off the pace late on. Whaxaar is consistent, and her two handicap wins have been on the all-weather at Great Leighs and Lingfield, so it will be interesting to see how she takes to the surface here. Rainbow Dash has been racing mainly in Ireland; this only her second English race in 27, but she did well at Wolverhampton last time, so Tom McCourt must think it's worth bringing ger over. Not a race to get to excited about, but Synonymy gets the vote.
