Navigation is given a narrow vote in the most difficult race on the card, Ruman and Mister Elegant are two others with strong claims. In fact it wouldn't be of any great surprise which horse landed this event, but Navigation did put in a solid effort last time out. He was only just touched off by Compton Classic at Musselburgh and if that wasn't just a one off he has to be given every chance in this modest event. Ruman is lightly raced this season and showed improved form last time when third behind Charming Ballet on the turf at Lingfield. He has solid form on the all-weather as well and looks a major threat. Mister Elegant ran a blinder over course and distance last time out and a repeat effort will make this one hard to beat. Consistency though is not the trademark of any of these and so Navigation is the choice, but with plenty of reservations.
