      Verdict

Jafaru, Bob's Your Uncle and Brave Bugsy make the shortlist here, with JAFARU taken to maintain his solid recent form. Brave Bugsy is running off the same mark as when scoring a year ago, and he ran with credit to be second at Bath recently. However, he ran disappointingly on his last visit to the track and is taken on. Bob's Your Uncle's winless run stretches back even further-two years, but he showed signs of a return to form with a decent third last time. The winner Inchpast, franked the form at Ripon, though the second was well beaten at Sandown on Saturday, and he may have to wait a little longer for his next success. Jafaru is an improved performer this season, being placed in all three starts, and winning at Brighton. He has been raised 5lbs for a fine effort in defeat recently, but nonetheless in the absence of solid form elsewhere, the progressive Jafaru gets the vote.
