M'LADY ROUSSEUR can spring a surprise and upset the Sir Michael Stoute-trained Opera Wings and Queen of Pentacles. Opera Wings ran a promising race on debut, staying on to be fourth at Wolverhampton. A drifter in the market that day, this daughter of Medicean may be fitter after this, his first outing for six months and is opposed. Queen of Pentacles showed ability at Newbury, and she should step up on that fourth at the Berkshire track, although initial impressions were that it was only a modest affair by the track's standards. David Elsworth, fresh from his big handicap success at York on Saturday, saddles the selection here, and she has kept on to good effect on both her starts to date, in similar contests to this. She will have learned from those experiences, and M'Lady Rousseur looks a worthy alternative at the likely odds.
