STORMY MORNING is the selection with Honorable Endeavour and Perception others to make our shortlist. This is a very modest race and the fact we have gone for the only recent winner in the race says it all. That said, this is a bad race and with a stout middle distance pedigree, we are hopeful rather than confident about his ability to stay the trip. Honorable Endeavour is tried in cheekpieces. He had previously raced in a visor though that appears to have made him a little keen in the early stages of his races. If he learns to settle, he is at the right end of the handicap. He does hold form with Perception. Roger Charlton's filly did not appear to stay 1m7f at Folkestone so the extra distance should not make much difference. Persian Memories is often well backed but this rise in trip smacks of desperation. Windpfeil looks slow and a certainty for a visit to the sales this autumn. Strategic Princess does at least stay this trip though she was well held in a maiden handicap at Chepstow. Spinning Waters has not gone on since obliging in a Pontefract handicap earlier in the season. Regal Blush is best of the rest. Stormy Morning does have to prove himself at the trip though connections will struggle to find as weak a handicap as this.
