This race produced a fair winner last year so we hope BUCKIE BOY can be up to this assignment with Xtra Special and Bengal Tiger on our shortlist. Henry Cecil's colt has had plenty of chances but this step up to 1m4f while not sure to be ideal on pedigree looks worth a shot given his most recent effort. Xtra Special has evidently had issues that have prevented her from visiting the racetrack. Her family include useful middle distance sort, Little Rock, so the market has to be closely monitored. Bengal Tiger is a half-brother to Ericarrow. He is sure to figure heavily in the market on the basis of a course-and-distance second. Mistofelees was easy to back on introduction and may have needed the run. Full marks to Astrodiva for her consistency though with seven races already taken in; we are unsure as to exactly how much improvement is still in the tank. Saint Chappelle has had a season off since her debut. From a family that includes Noserferatu, the step up in trip should not be an issue. The remainder look fairly ordinary on what we have seen. Buckie Boy has questions to answer though he should be up to answering them in this company.
