held up, never dangerous
dwelt, held up in rear, hung right from over 2f out, soon beaten
held up mid-division, headway and not clear run over 1f out, led just inside final furlong, held on well
tracked leaders, effort over 2f out, soon ridden and every chance, weakened inside final furlong
led, headed over 1f out, weakened final furlong
held up mid-division, hard ridden and headway over 2f out, stayed on final furlong, never troubled leaders
in touch, hard ridden and effort over 2f out, stayed on under pressure inside final furlong, just held
mid-division, ridden over 3f out, soon no impression
held up towards rear, never a factor
slowly into stride, behind, some late headway, never dangerous
slowly into stride, always behind
Spin Again is preferred to Greystoke Prince and Romantic Verse. It's always worth noting when Seb Sanders and Ralph Beckett team up and the Intikhab colt is given another chance to confirm his initial promise. His maiden defeat of Cheveton looks better now and he hasn't been disgraced in either of his two subsequent runs in handicap company given that he has had troubled passages in both. He has the ability to go close from this mark. There should be more to come from Redarsene but a 7lb rise looks stiff enough on the face of it, Autumn Blades appears to need handling with kid gloves and may not be one to rely on in a finish whilst Ike Quebec should fare better back on the all-weather but has the worst of the draw. Greystoke Prince benefited from a positive ride last time and should go well from the front but is vulnerable to a finisher and Romantic Verse should come into that category. She looked in need of this longer trip when outpaced at Wolverhampton last time and has claims but it will also be worth checking out Sir Ike. He was well backed to land that Wolverhampton contest but looked ill at ease at the track; this venue may well suit him better and he'll be worth bearing in mind if the money comes for him again. For the time being though, we'll be siding with Spin Again.
