Tatbeeq is preferred to Dubai Power and Smokey Rye. The selection has taken a little while to get off the mark and isn't well drawn in one but she has sufficient early pace to get a good position. She has shown a consistent level of form and may not have a massive amount of improvement to come but her maiden win won't have harmed her confidence and she may be able to build no that now. Dubai Power went close over course and distance in April but has been campaigned over shorter on turf ever since. She's been a shade disappointing the last twice but has been given a chance by the handicapper and may be able to bounce back. Montiboli may have paid the price for her consistency and of more interest are Smokey Rye, Bois Joli and Nice Matin. Smokey Rye ran as well as could have been expected behind Main Aim at Sandown on her first run since January and has shown her best form on the all-weather; that run should have put her spot on for this contest. Bois Joli hails from a yard that does well here and is worth a market check on her British debut whilst the form of Nice Matin's maiden win has received a boost already but she looks no more than fairly handicapped. Tatbeeq may get the run of the race out in front and may have sufficient reserves to keep them all at bay.
