Verdict

Rated 85, Neptune Legend sets a decent standard though is penalised for an earlier success at Newmarket. SPIRIT OF NGURU also carries a penalty but improved to beat an odds-on favourite over course and distance last month with the re-opposing Mizmar well beaten. The Haggas colt looks worth sticking with in this. Of the newcomers, Vespasian cost 300,000gns as a half-brother to a host of winners including the smart Brown Sugar and is preferred to Illuminated and Kanakam.
