In depth

Verdict

MOTAMAYIZ completed a double at Bath by only a neck but gets a change of headgear today and an apprentice’s allowance negates a further rise in the weights. Roger Varian’s charge should go close again but Too Shy Shy beat Mon Choix to win at Lingfield last month and both can figure in this. Pitchcombe ended last year going close at Lingfield and Jam And Mam will likely improve on her second outing for Archie Watson while Swinley Forest and Wightman return to handicapping after recent placed efforts. Bythebay makes his handicap debut having found one too good in a couple of maidens at Lingfield.
