Another difficult puzzle for punters and Super Frank is selected ahead of Haroldini and Mystic Man. The selection was a ready winner at Lingfield under an enterprising Richard Hughes ride and having got a good draw on this occasion, he is the one that they all have to beat. Haroldini continues in good form and has been a fine servant to John Balding. He scrambled home to win at Wolverhampton but this is his toughest task to date. Mystic Man is arguably better over a mile but can be expected to run a fair race at big odds. Desert Lover and Mister Elegant invariably look up to winning races but struggle to do so. Hotchpotch and Mine The Balance are recent winners from the John Best stable although neither have been done any favours by the draw. Cool Sands looks the pick of the Derek Shaw stable whilst plating winner, The London Gang, strikes out for new connections. Plenty of possibles but Super Frank has conditions to suit and looks the one to be on.
