Verdict

MIXING has been a model of consistency this season and is taken to follow up from his recent Kempton win at the expense of Eagle Nebula and Compton Charlie. The selection runs off the same mark as he did when winning over a one furlong shorter trip at this track last time out. He was in danger of becoming a frustrating horse to follow having been placed more than most during the season. That last win though could well restore his confidence and if he is able to reproduce the same level of form he can win again. Eagle Nebula carries top weight which will not make life easy for him. He has run some fair races in defeat this summer without ever looking like winning. He was not beaten that far when third of eight at Newbury last time out and as this looks an easier task he ought to be in the shake up once again. Compton Charlie broke his maiden tag at Folkestone in April and has run some fine races since. He did disappoint when sent off favourite at Windsor last time out though and has failed to sparkle on the all-weather in the past so is to be treated with caution.
