Verdict

OGRE is taken to land his five-timer at the expense of Magroom and Lekita. The selection has posted wins on the all-weather and on turf this season and has been well placed by his trainer. He was seen to good effect at Brighton last time out and although he has crept up the weights as a consequence of his success. He is seven pounds higher than his last win but we feel he has more to give and he can score again before the handicapper gets a hold of him. Magroom came close to winning when second to Sotik Star at Bath last time out. He has performed well on the all-weather at Kempton in the past so any market moves should be noted. Lekita is only lightly raced and is fitted with cheek pieces for the first time to enhance her enthusiasm. She has proven form to her name and if the head gear works she is sure to be in the shake-up.
