    In depth

    Verdict

Scottish River has dropped to a fair mark and showed signs of a return to form at Haydock so gets the vote to resume winning ways at the main expense of Bienheureux and Missie Baileys. The last two mentioned are closely matched on running here last month, form on which they strictly hold The Iron Giant, and have to be respected but may not be as well treated as the selection. Lady Taverner has held her form well but probably needs some help from the handicapper, while He's A Star is likely to find this tougher than the seller that he won at Wolverhampton last time. Swords is consistent but may again have to settle for a minor role and preference is for Scottish River, who is taken to make the most of a favourable mark.
