FARNCOMBE can prevail in this maiden at the main expense of Hay Fever and Lord of The Dance. Marcus Tregoning's filly still has a bit to prove as she was not at her best at Yarmouth last month. However, she had shown plenty on her debut and then at Goodwood and she should be suited by this slightly longer trip. Lord of The Dance is a likeable colt and he appears to be going the right way. He put in a sound effort at Wolverhampton last month and as he was returning from a break that day, there should be more to come. Hay Fever ran well back in a maiden at Wolverhampton last month when the first-time blinkers seemed to have a positive effect. The blinkers are on again today and if they work the oracle again then he could go well. Sermons Mount, Magic Queen and Suzi's Dancer are others with each-way claims, but the vote goes to Farncombe.
