    Verdict

Loup Sifflet is a tentative choice in another wide open contest, Abbeygate and Star Rising are put forward as the main dangers. The form of the Richard Fahey yard is outstanding at present and although Loup Sifflet has shown a modicum of ability so far, he is contesting a very weak contest this afternoon. He didn't do too badly in a handicap at Ayr on his final run last season and if he handles this all-weather surface he should go very close. Abbeygate hit winning form at Wolverhampton last time, beating some poor rivals in game fashion. Now he has hit form he will be a tough nutr to crack this afternoon. Star Rising showed much improved form last time and if he continues in that vein he should be there or thereabouts. Granary Girl and Brave Dane are two others with solid form claims, but Loup Sifflet is dropped in class and can take full advantage.
