held up in touch, chased winner 2f out, ridden and not quicken approaching final furlong
started slowly, held up towards rear, ridden 3f out, never dangerous
in touch, not clear run on inside rail 2f out, ridden and one pace when clear from over 1f out
started slowly, held up behind, kept on final 2f but never dangerous
tracked leaders, every chance 2f out, weakened over 1f out
started slowly, held up, effort over 2f out, soon ridden and weakened quickly over 1f out
made all, stayed on strongly when pressed from 2f out, pushed out final furlong
held up mid-division, headway 2f out, every chance over 1f, kept on same pace final furlong
held up towards rear, never troubled leaders
started slowly, behind, kept on from over 2f out, but not a danger
in rear, ridden 3f out, kept on final furlong but never dangerous
Autumn Melody can make a winning debut over the slightly more experienced Park Law, with other newcomers Heat of The Night, Hidden Chance and Magic Tree all interesting for the future. Autumn Melody hails from a stable that can boast a near-enough 50 per cent strike-rate with its juveniles, and this Kingmambo filly, a half-sister to the likes of Medaaly and Charnwood Forest would not be a surprise winner. Of the few that have seen the racecourse before, Park Law makes most appeal. John Gosden's filly made good late headway after being outpaced on her debut here a fortnight ago and can only improve for the experience. Heat of The Night may need this but the daughter of Lear fan could be one to follow by all accounts, while Hidden Chance comes from a yard that has plenty of two-year-old talent. Magic Tree has been working well at West Ilsley and is yet another that may end up in the notebook, but with Frankie Dettori in the plate, Autumn Melody is the pick of some nice sorts.
