The handicapper now seems to have Newick Park in his grip so the safest bet looks to be Reiziger who gets the verdict over Ifni Du Luc. The last mentioned makes his belated seasonal reappearance off a favourable mark but this trip is probably a minimum for him and we prefer to side with Reiziger. The Philip Hobbs-trained gelding has looked a quirky customer from time to time but has been running better of late and lost no caste in defeat behind Avalanche over course and distance last time. A reproduction of that effort may suffice. The ex-Irish Hehasalife has been given a break since joining Heather Dalton and comes here a fresher horse than most, while Mount Prague has claims if able to reproduce the sort of form that saw him win at Leicester in December. A disappointing effort at Ludlow last month is of concern though and we prefer to stick with Reiziger, who looks to be going the right way now.
