Not a strong race to end the evening at the Sunbury Park course, and with Yalla not looking as good on the turf as she is on the All-Weather surfaces and Liquid Form from a yard that is finding winners hard to come by, this may go to Kernel Dowry, who has already proven his ability to handle fast ground. This trip looks well within his compass, as he was staying on into 5th place at Bath, which is certainly a stiffer 10-furlongs than he faces here and he can be ridden a little more aggressively in the knowledge that he does stay. Artistry is a frustrating filly, as she does have some ability, but she doesn't always choose to use it. She is effective under these conditions, and if on a going day, can make her presence felt. Melograno has done nothing to suggest he is about to lose his maiden tag, while Bluegrass Boy also has plenty to prove, but it is possible this trip may see him in a better light. So this looks the ideal opportunity for Kernel Dowry to lose his maiden tag.
