Sylvester Kirk has his winter string in fine fettle and from this mark we'll take MISS PHOEBE to get back to winning ways against her own sex, while Moon Crystal, Aphrodisia and Lady Aspen look likely to challenge her. The selection has been dropped to a BHA rating of 62, which given that she has gone close off 65 last year, looks in her favour. She has gone well here in the past and the return to a mile looks a positive, so we will chance her. Lady Aspen remains a maiden after 14 starts and has slipped down to a career low mark as a result. Polytrack suits, and if this circuit does on her first try at Kempton, then she can get heavily involved. Stablemate Aphrodisia ran well over course and distance last time and as one who has tasted victory over further she will want a strong pace here to bring her stamina into play. She can't be ruled out, and the same can be said of Moon Crystal, who won her maiden here and went close over this trip at Lingfield last time. From a 1lb higher mark she should be thereabouts. Bookiebasher Babe has wins to her name on both artificial surfaces and comes here after a confidence boosting claimer win, so a win for her would be no shock, but in a tricky race for punters we will side with Miss Phoebe.
