      In depth

      Verdict

Ian Williams has his string in decent form and he will have good line on Dansilver, the likely favourite here, with TERMINATE, who might just prove good enough. Williams-trained Blockley was responsible for beating Dansilver last time out and the trainer will know what is required from Terminate. The seven-year-old was in good form last spring but the handicapper had him in his pocket for some time until he showed signs of a return to form at Lingfield over Christmas. If he retains anything like his ability of a year ago then he'd look well handicapped here and we'll take a chance on him. Dansilver has also been showing little on the flat or over hurdles until dropping to a mark of 54 and going close with the Williams runner at Wolverhampton last Friday. From the same mark today he is entitled to get very competitive. Topweight Imperium has been going well enough in defeat, including when stepped up significantly in trip last time, but there have to be stamina doubts over a furlong further today. Ministerofinterior is arguably open to more improvement after just nine starts and the trainer's runners here are much respected, but he'd have to show more than when winning a Brighton seller. Prince Of Medina pops up occasionally but has not won in numerous attempts here, while Foreign King looks in need of further assistance from the assessor and preference is for Terminate.
