ORPENELLA has been knocking on the door to success and can finally push it open here, while Dontpaytheferryman can complete the forecast. Kevin Ryan looks to have found a decent opportunity for Orpenella, a filly who had gone close in a Southwell handicap last month and then was just held when stepped to this trip at the Midlands track last time. She does have to prove she handles this surface on her first Polytrack outing, but her form looks the best on offer here and she is worth the nomination. Dontpaytheferryman has been tried over 1m 4f here on three occasions without success, but his handicap run last time was the most promising of the trio. The drop of a furlong in trip here might help and he should not be far away. American Spin returns after a long absence and is stepped up to a trip that should suit, but unless there is a huge wave of market support he looks best watched today. Sestet is going the right way but would need to show more to win this, and Simon Dow's charge is likely to be running for the handicap mark she will get after this race, and with the same probably the case with Russian Angel we'll take Orpenella to score.
