SOUTHANDWEST's handicap mark continues to suffer as a result of some good efforts but he still looks to hold a leading chance and is selected here ahead of Tamagin, Trafalgar Square and Opus Maximus. Stan Moore's five-year-old has struggled off this sort of mark in the past, however he ran well last time at the track when he was unlucky in running. Luke Morris is back in the saddle and having steered the horse to his most recent wins, he is fancied to do so again. Trafalgar Square comes here chasing a hat-trick but this looks much tougher, Tamagin is dropped in class and is starting to look fairly handicapped, whilst Divinsky is a game front-runner and any horse who gets past him will know that they have had a race. Capricorn Run continues to edge down the weights and he is not one to take lightly, but perhaps a bigger danger might be Opus Maximus. Mark Johnston's gelding was in very good form when last seen in the Autumn and he has won on the all-weather before at Lingfield (also run well here in defeat). A fascinating handicap, but preference is for Southandwest.
