      Verdict

      A competitive start to this twilight fixture where there are several recent winners with claims but preference is for STAND GUARD. Paul Howling's gelding has four wins to his name over this course and distance and has dropped to a very attractive mark. He returned to form here last time over further but with the drop back to this trip he looks the one to be on. High Office has to be respected but is up another 4lb for a good effort at Pontefract last time and is taken on. Ellemujie was a 1m 4f winner here last time but is back up to a mark from which he has previously struggled, while both Denton and Sequillo are now being asked plenty by the assessor. Both Franco Is My Name and Rosco Flyer should be competitive.
