        Verdict

        PALENVILLE came up against the well-handicapped Gothic Empire when runner-up at Yarmouth but she was clear of the rest and should have more luck in this. Figurante was ahead of Nassuvian Pearl when winning at Lingfield and was then placed at Goodwood. She is preferred to Finelcity, who drops back in trip, while Consulting steps up from 5f. The remainder are harder to fancy unless Yensir rediscovers the best of last year’s form.
