Verdict
La Maquina has won over 7f either side of a poor effort over track and trip but DIRECTORY makes more appeal. The latter just missed out over course and distance a week ago and James Eustace’s charge can race off the same mark today. Tamerlane returned a losing favourite at Lingfield last time but Mazyoun can figure as he slips further down the weights while Plunger finished in front of Letsbe Avenue when fourth at Windsor last month. Characteristic is less exposed and looks a threat handicapping for the first time having finished runner-up over 7f here on his latest start.
