It'll take a smart performance to lower the colours of JAMBO BIBI here and she's taken to get the better of Beach Patrol, although a market check is a must with regards the selection's stablemate Avonmore Star. Richard Hannon's filly looked like she was about to make a winning debut when hitting the front a furlong from home on Friday before the experience of her rival Phoebs made the difference late on. Providing she's able to repeat that run this daughter of Iffraaj will take all the beating and, as she's likely to have improved for that Lingfield run, she gets a confident vote from the best of the draw. One note of caution is advised in relation to Avonmore Star, a nicely bred stablemate to our pick who has the assistance of young Patrick Hills. However this colt is bred to improve for a stiffer test of stamina and we'll take him on alongside Beach Patrol, who may indeed emerge as the chief threat. Mick Channon's colt ran well behind one of Hannon's on his debut here but has subsequently disappointed on the turf. It may well be that he proves best at Kempton though and he's certainly one to consider. Lord Avon represents a yard that can win these races but he was easy to back before showing little on his debut at Thirsk and unless support arrives in spades for Ree's Rascal or Dancing With Fire this is best left to Jambo Bibi.
