Mista Rossa looks the type to improve now encountering handicap company and he gets the nod ahead of Si Belle, Calistos Quest, and Alfredtheordinary. The selection has had three qualifying runs and has a mark of 64 for this handicap debut and returning from a winter off, he should run well having shown glimpses of ability over a mile last season. Si Belle ran well in defeat last time out and a beaten favourite on that occasion, punters may be trying to get back some of the losses, whilst King Supreme can be rated better than his runs at the the end of last season as he may just have been coming to the end of his tether. Calistos Quest was also a beaten favourite when last seen and connections revert to a shorter trip today in the hope of bringing about some improvement, whilst Milanollo can be expected to improve for his recent pipe opener when she ran well in second. Alfredtheordinary is another who needs to bounce back from a poor latest outing, whilst Soxy Dox is no stable star but has a very low mark from which to start her handicap career. An open race, and if the market speaks in his favour then Mista Rossa could be the answer.
