Poor form with which to base ones opinion on with some rogues lining up. A Double Ewe Bee and Hill Forts Henry have displayed the best recent form albeit after thinking about it. Little Rort, Kisha King and Gouranga are others to consider in an otherwise poor contest. A Double Ewe Bee, twice a winner in this grade, did not appear to be suited by the drop back to 2m 4f at Taunton on her most recent outing. Prior to that she did win a similar contest to today and while she has her quirks, this appears a decent oppertunity for her with going and trip in her favour. Hill Forts Henry like many of these requires a lot of cajoling during his races. He never travelled a yard at Plumpton last time but his rivals stopped dead in the later stages of the contest. He does think about what he does but on a going day he has the ability to go close. Little Rort would have a chance if re-producing the form that saw him finish runner-up on his penultimate outing. Gouanga represents the younger brigade and disappointed last time having benefitted for the application of blinkers two outings back. She did show some promise in flat maidens previously and drying ground conditions should aid her cause. Not a contest to get too excited about but we will give the vote to A Double Ewe Bee with Gouranga put up as one that could reward those seeking some value.
