Verdict

Drive On, who finished fifth in a course and distance nursery in September off a mark of 54, then landed a maiden but has been hit with a 17lb rise. Hipz landed a 6f claimer here before well beaten in a stronger nursery at Lingfield where she never got involved, nor did Bonjour Steve in the same race so the vote goes to GO FOR BROKE. He landed the odds in a Salisbury maiden and started favourite in a 6f nursery here three weeks ago but was impeded. He wouldn't have won but that run is best ignored and compensation awaits. Exceed And Exceed is the dark horse in the race as he's been quite highly tried in three maidens on Turf and wouldn't need to be special to make a winning handicap debut.
