DEN'S GIFT won off a 5lb higher mark over C&D in May last year and ran well over 7f at Ascot in July. The 6f trip was clearly too sharp at Newmarket subsequently and Clive Cox's grey has an excellent chance to rediscover the winning habit here under the promising Lucy Barry. Emerald Wilderness is well treated but has disappointed this year, while Red Somerset is probably worth opposing having collected a penalty for his C&D win in a claimer last month. Nahab found soft ground over 1m2f too much last time and is worth another chance, however, and makes more appeal than Tewin Wood and the disappointing Brick Dust.
