Monkhouse has been placed in maiden hurdles at Taunton and Southwell but will probably need more if he is to open his account in this. Kublai is proving hard to predict but Itsnowcato has attracted support in all four races since winning at Plumpton in the autumn and might be suited by this sharp track. MCCABE CREEK won on good ground at Doncaster in January and was placed over this course and distance on his next start. Dropped a pound since placed at Newbury last month, he looks to have every chance of picking the winning thread up again here.
