In depth

Verdict

A tricky contest for us here and a chance is taken on LEND A GRAND at a decent price, while Fine Ruler is among others with a chance. The selection has not won for some time and has now dropped to a very handy mark as a result. His trainer's couple of recent runners have both gone well, so it is likely that he can leave the form of his last start behind and he looks very interesting at an each way price if he is ridden with this trip in mind. Fine Ruler has a 7f course win to his name and has been kept to this mile trip just lately, picking up a race at Great Leighs in December. He races from the same mark today as when comfortably beaten last time and might have to settle for the frame again. Golden Prospect is now 7lbs below his last winning mark and with a promising reappearance run under his belt he should be good enough to take a close hand. Takitwo is raised 2lbs for being touched off in a course and distance claimer last time and will find this tougher, while Daring Dream remains a maiden and rarely gives his best over this trip, though his yard is among the winners. Salt Of The Earth is probably best of the remainder, but it is possible to pick holes in the form of all of them and Lend A Grand is the tentative advice.
