      Verdict

ROUND WON is improving judged on this year's efforts. He went close here earlier this month before running out a convincing winner over C&D a week ago and a 6lb penalty may not be enough to stop him following up. In contrast, Kidlat looks high enough in the weights now after a couple of wins in January. There may be more to come from The Lock Master stepping up in trip and Mighty Clarets is no forlorn hope after finding 1m4f at Lingfield beyond him last time, while Aphrodisia makes most appeal of the remainder.
