Double Carpet, Mina and Black Sea Pearl are the thre to look at here and preference is for Black Sea Pearl. Double Carpet had shown little form before finishing second at Leicester last time in a maiden, belying his starting price of 66-1. That was a much improved effort, and in the belief that improvement can be maintained, he can go well here. Mina has finished second on six of her eleven starts and was just touched off by Black Sea Pearl last time. She should win a race soon but on only one pound better terms, Black Sea Pearl is taken to come out on top again. Black Sea Pearl was a disappointment on her last start at Wolverhampton but that was over a longer trip and she has run well on the all weather before that. Black Sea Pearl can score again.
