Verdict

SPA'S DANCER and Tenessee set a clear standard and there appears to be plenty of dead wood in this line-up so it may not pay to look beyond the pair. John Hills' charge was highly regarded as a juvenile and is readily preferred despite just having a pound in hand of his main rival on official figures as he has run a series of sound races in good company and there's no cause to believe that he won't be equally effective here. Tenessee has the ability to make further progress and has been freshened up by a break since proving slightly disappointing at Salisbury and it will be interesting to see what the market expectations are with the yard's horses running well enough. Catching Zeds and Marie Cuddy are feared most of the remainder although Marie Cuddy has since left Mick Channon despite running well behind Jacqueline Quest.
