Verdict

Gold Sands has strong claims if staying the extra distance after finding Journey too good over 1m2f at Newbury. The latter is trained by John Gosden and he runs TUTTI FRUTTI, a runner-up over today's distance at Leicester recently and fancied to find further improvement with William Buick taking over the reins. Neither Crowned With Stars nor Joseph Jefferson threatened over 1m4f on their latest starts on slow ground but it's too soon to write them off and the latter comment also applies to both Cryptonym and Allumage as they step up in distance.
