In depth

Verdict

Emma Lavelle is double-handed with KING'S THRESHOLD not only preferred to Young Butler but also seen as a decent recommendation on the back of a battling success at Exeter, the form of which has been boosted by the runner-up Bumpy Johnson who scored next time. The selection should be suited by this further step-up in trip and looks on the upgrade with only three runs over hurdles under his belt. A mark of 118 is feasible. Stable companion Young Butler has had his issues but was much better last time and is not ruled out, along with Mr Tambourine Man who should be all the better for his latest run after an absence of over 300 days. The latter's stablemate, Shot Boii, needs to put a poor latest effort behind him, as does Peace Of Rome, although both have some fair form in the book previously.
