Geordies Express got no further than the first fence in the Foxhunters at Cheltenham last time and this represents a big drop in class so he gets the vote over Go Nomadic and Miss Mattie Ross. The last mentioned beat Boulta a head over course and distance earlier this month but this looks tougher. Laganside won a point-to-point a fortnight ago and should be thereabouts if in the same mood today but a bigger threat comes from Go Nomadic. The 10-year-old lost no caste in defeat behind Sad Mad Bad at Sedgefield last time and holds solid claims on that evidence. However, Geordies Express sets a decent standard and will be tough to beat. The selection tuned up for Cheltenham with creditable efforts in defeat behind Gun'n Roses at Haydock and Guilsborough Gorse at Musselburgh. This looks easier and he gets the vote.
