Verdict

St Gallen was fulfilling earlier promise when beating subsequent winner in a maiden at Market Rasen but this is a much tougher affair. Manamite has done well for Ben Haslam and also beat a subsequent winner at Musselburgh last time, though has been raised 6lb. CORNBOROUGH has only gone up to 2lb for an excellent run behind the prolific Uno Mas at Cheltenham and a repeat performance here may well suffice for Mark Walford’s versatile gelding with Ted Veale taking a backward step at Perth and Nayati having more on his plate than at Bangor eight days ago.
