St Gallen was fulfilling earlier promise when beating subsequent winner in a maiden at Market Rasen but this is a much tougher affair. Manamite has done well for Ben Haslam and also beat a subsequent winner at Musselburgh last time, though has been raised 6lb. CORNBOROUGH has only gone up to 2lb for an excellent run behind the prolific Uno Mas at Cheltenham and a repeat performance here may well suffice for Mark Walford’s versatile gelding with Ted Veale taking a backward step at Perth and Nayati having more on his plate than at Bangor eight days ago.
Ted Veale (IRE) 4-1jfav (11-12) Tracked leaders, outpaced 2 out, soon ridden, kept on same pace, never on terms, 3rd of 8, 27l behind Siannes Star (10-6) at Perth 2m hcp (3) gd in Apr.

Cornborough 10-1 (9-9) In touch, headway well over 1f out, chased winner inside final furlong, never able to challenge, 2nd of 9, 2 1/4l behind Regular Income (9-7) at Nottingham 1m 2f hcp (5) sft in May.
Nayati (FR) 13-2 (11-12) Held up towards rear, headway 4 out, chased leaders next, led before last, kept on well, won at Bangor-on-Dee 2m 1f hcp (4) gd in May beating Romanor (11-12) by 1 3/4l, 9 ran.
