Verdict

Lycidas is going chasing late in life and has a lengthy absence to overcome but is 2-3 over hurdles here so shouldn’t be ignored. But FELIX MENDELSSOHN made a winning start over fences at Perth, having proved frustrating over hurdles, and may have found his true vocation. Spin The Coin has won a point-to-point and switches to fences after getting off the mark over timber at Musselburgh in December so is no forlorn hope while Lovely Schtuff has had a wind operation since last seen.
